SAVANNAH, Ga., (AFPN) -- Diane Hayes wheels her daughter Kiera from school to physical and speech therapy here. The Hayes family was forced to evacuate Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., a day before Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. Her husband, Staff Sgt. Herbert Hayes Jr., who returned on emergency leave after the storm, remains stationed in South Korea. Her daughter's school loaned Kiera a wheelchair until renter's insurance can replace the one ruined by Katrina.
