Capt. (Dr.) Christopher Lindshield speaks to a patient during the humanitarian assistance rapid response team validation exercise Sept. 4, 2009, on Chuuk, in the Federated States of Micronesia. The team is the Air Force's new expeditionary medical capability designed to deploy within 24-hours of notice during disaster relief operations. The team provides basic medical care and public health assistance to 350 to 500 patients per day and is based at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Doctor Lindshield is from the 374th Medical Group at Yokota Air Base, Japan.
