This was one of three images (PHIL# 9192 - 9194), depicting the usage of a bathtub's offset faucets. In this particular image, both a child and an elderly woman were standing next to the tub using the faucet, thereby, adjusting the temperature of the flowing water. Note that the faucet was installed closer to the outside of the tub for easy access. This faucet design enabled everyone to reach it more easily, including users who were standing, children, and the mobility-challenged, who were limited in their ability to bend and reach.
