Description:
Manufactured by Fiskars, the 'ambidextrous' scissors depicted in this 1996 photograph were unlike other scissors, for they were designed to be used by people who were left, or right handed. They also employed a spring that would open the scissors automatically, thereby, allowing for a variety of interchangeable hand grips. This cutting implement could accommodate very large hands as well, which increased the usability comfort range. However, the cost for these 'customized' scissors was higher than their unmodified counterparts.
