The captain, of the 492nd Fighter Squadron, and other members of the 48th Fighter Wing deployed to Graf-Isnatievo Air Base, Bulgaria, where they took part in exercise Immediate Response, which began July 17. The joint, trilateral exercise also included the Bulgarian and Romanian militaries and U.S. Soldiers. The Airmen practiced ground attack and air-to-air tactics.
