As a result of the successful 2006 Fall Health Fair, Dr. John Anderton, "through" CDC avatar Hygeia Philo, was interviewed by the social marketing expert Nedra Kline Weinreich, as part of her blog series 'Spare Change'. This image depicted the interview, between the two avatars which took place within the virtual Second Life environment. This was the forth design stage of the avatar, Ms. Philo. Customizing an avatar's appearance is a key aspect to community acceptance, and it was in preparation for the first CDC Health Fair, which took place inside Second Life in October, 2006, that Hygeia was again outfitted with a more corporate design for clothing, more realistic facial features and hair.
