This photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative Yersinia pestis bacteria, which was grown on a medium of chocolate agar, for a 48 hour time period, at a temperature of 25�C. Note that PHIL 12469 and 12470 display Y. pestis bacterial colonies grown on the same medium and temperature, but at a greater 72hr time period. See also PHIL 12471 for the appearance of these colonies grown on the same medium, and for the same time period, but at a greater temperature (37�C); PHIL 12472 displaying growth on the same medium, but at a greater time period and temperature, 72hr and 37�C, respectively; PHIL 12473 displaying growth on the same medium, and at the same temperature, but for half the time (24hr).
