This October, 1975 photograph depicted Captain, boat driver, Robin Gomes, crouching down in a 'UNICEF 8' boat cabin, while conducting a trading transaction with a Burmese Buddhist villager and his child. The Buddhists, otherwise known as Marmas, migrated to this region of the World from ancient Burma, which is now known as Myanmar. The boat was traveling along a Patuakhali District waterway, in the country of Bangladesh.
