This photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative Burkholderia thailandensis bacteria, which was grown on a medium
Description:
This photograph depicts the colonial morphology displayed by Gram-negative Burkholderia thailandensis bacteria, which was grown on a medium of sheep's blood agar (SBA), for a 48 hour time period, at a temperature of 37C. See PHIL 12402, for a closer view of these bacterial colonies. Also, see both PHIL 12408 and 12409, for views of this bacterial specie, grown on the same medium, for the same amount of time, however, at a greater temperature of 42C. PHIL 12423 and 12424 display B. thailandensis colonial growth on the same medium, and temperature, but for only half the time (24hr). Finally, PHIL 12431 and 12432 display this specie's bacterial growth, again on SBA, for half the time (24hr), and at a greater temperature (42C).
