Description:

Lisa (Borel) Meekins served in the United States Air Force for seven years, and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 2002. She worked as a Medical Technician at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, and Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. She performed as an Aeromedical Evacuation Technician at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. She also deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Northern Watch in 1997. Lisa is now a Forestry Technician/Wildland Firefighter at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge in North Carolina. She had completed a Fire Internship there before being hired in 2009.
