Description:

The new Precision Measurement Laboratory on the Boulder campus was officially dedicated on April 13. The large building boasts 280,000 square feet (26,013 square meters) of lab space, clean-room space, offices for scientists and support staff, conference facilities, and mechanical support space. Cutting the ribbon were Acting NIST Boulder Labs Director Kent Rochford, Mayor of Boulder Matt Appelbaum, NIST Director Pat Gallagher, and NIST Chief Facilities Management Officer Stella Fiotes. The event took place the same day as the opening of the new 56,000-square-foot (5,203-square-meter) expansion of JILA on the campus of the University of Colorado.
