Description:
(Virtual panorama) The Mentors/Educators Champions of Change Panel of FFA and 4-H members complete their presentations to a round of applause, during the Champions of Change Recognition event, in the Indian Treaty Room of the Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. The Champions of Change program was created to honor ordinary Americans doing great work in their communities. Each week, a different sector is highlighted and groups of Champions, ranging from educators, entrepreneurs and community leaders, are recognized for the work they are doing to serve and strengthen their communities. The Indian Treaty Room, originally the Navy's library and reception room has rich marble wall panels, tiled floors, 800-pound bronze sconces, and gold leaf ornamentation.
