U.S. EPA Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator Shawn M. Garvin welcomed Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware to EPAâs Food Recovery Challenge. Grocery stores often have food leftover that cannot be sold, but is still healthy to eat, such as pints with one bruised strawberry, or bakery items at the end of the night. The Kenny Family ShopRites are now donating to the Food Band of Delaware. This America Recycles Day event highlighted the new partnership. Today, more and more businesses are connecting with food rescue organizations to feed people instead of landfills. You can donate your food too.
