Licensed Practical Nurse Dora Cater, LPN scans patientâs wristband with a hand held scanner to verify the patientâs information with the hospitals Electronic Medical Records data in Hawkinsville, GA on Mar. 6, 2013. Electronic Medical Records are essentially an electronic point-of-care capture of medical data that can be easily accessed and allow for integration across different health care settings by being embedded internet-work connected enterprise wide information systems. Such records may include a wide range of data in comprehensive or summary, immunization status, laboratory test results, radiology images and billing information. Patient data stored electronically is simplified for data gathering for running needed organizational, state, and Federal reports. R.J. Taylor Memorial Hospital, Inc. has purchased an Electronic Medical Records System under an incentive program by the Federal government through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) Community Facilities Loan (CF) that ensures fiscally responsive access to superior quality integrated health care.
