CAPACITY BUILDING âWe really appreciate the efforts made by the USAID Power Distribution Program Team in conducting this effective workshop on Performance Management System. The workshop allowed National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) participants to understand modern practices in performance management systems. The practices and tools shared during the workshop are really helpful and will pave the way for implementing a new performance measurement system at NEPRA.â National Electric Power Regulatory Authority Director General HR/A Malik Hammad Shamimi (Picture Above) Performance Management Systems Workshop: As part of its Organizational Assessment & Restructuring Project, the USAID Power Distribution Program carried out an extensive assessment of the existing performance measurement process, tools and aligned guidelines which are currently being applied by NEPRA. The existing mechanism lacks the capacity to incorporate and establish measurable objectives of an individual. There is an absence of performance planning. Employees are neither being measured on the value of their work nor on their competence, but rather on non-tangible attributes, and a proper mechanism to provide feedback and review mechanisms is lacking.
