Title:
Sacramento District recognized by Air Force
Description:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District was recognized by the U.S. Air Force with a 2012 design award for the three-bay fire station at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The $4.5 million Sacramento District project was completed in 2011, and received a Gold rating under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program. The facility is the first fire station built at Hill since 1943 and was positioned to support the existing C-130 hangar nearby, along with the growing F-22 complex at the base.
