USDA National Landscape Architect, Natural Resources Conservation Service Bob Snieckus (kneeling), demonstrates the construction of one of the green roofs the United States Department of Agriculture has planted to French students from Ecole Du Breuil, School of Horticulture and Landscaping Techniques of Paris, France. The students visited the United States Department of Agriculture Peopleâs Garden in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. The class was lead by Professor HervÃ© Dardillat (center), Landscape Architect. The students are on a two-week U.S. tour, which includes a visit to the White House Kitchen garden, as well as gardens and parks in Washington, D.C. The students will also visit Temple University in Philadelphia, PA., in addition to parks and gardens in New York City where they will also stay with host families and work on community gardens.
