Corps donates excess binders to local Sacramento schools
Nancy Purcell (left), the principal at Fern Bacon Middle School, receives one of 175 binders from Amanda Erwin, an equal employment opportunity specialist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District, during a visit to the Sacramento-area school Feb. 20, 2013. This is the second donation of binders by the Sacramento District to the school – 104 were donated in June 2012. “Small donations like these make a big difference at schools,” said Purcell. An additional donation of 61 binders was provided to Hiram Johnson High School the same day. (U.S. Army photo by Carlos J. Lazo/Released)
