Christine Salazar was thrilled when she received the phone call offering her a position in the Recovery Act project office at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). A New Mexico native reared in the tiny town of Coyote in the northern part of the state, Christine joined the Recovery Act project as an administrative assistant in August 2009, fresh from two weeks of training in the National Guard. Since then, this 24-year-old dynamo has learned skills she can use in the future, and been instrumental in the project start-up process.
